Awards:-
The Greyhound is at heart a proper pub, with plenty of comfortable seating, and no pressure to eat anything. Being a free house, and local CAMRA Pub of the Year 2022, we pride ourselves in the quality of our real ales, craft beers and ciders, chosen from local producers and the best to be had from the rest of the UK. Our wine list is filled with delicious wines from passionate producers, and to help you explore, we always have a wide selection by the glass or carafe.
Our Head Chef Martin Sherriff, nominated one of the best chefs in Oxfordshire, and his team have a reputation for cooking up delicious and imaginative dishes. All of the food is homemade and freshly cooked, and based on great, fresh and locally sourced ingredients. Alongside some great pub classics you will find our menu is inspired by the seasons, and our specials based on the gems our suppliers bring us.
As well as our a la carte menu, we always have a number of specials including our popular Wednesday evening Midweek Fix. On weekday lunchtimes we offer our fixed price Lunch for Less menu (not December).
Children of all sizes are very welcome at the Greyhound and we like to offer them fresh homemade food too, with some children’s favourites and the option of smaller portions of the grown up’s dishes.
For bookings and to discuss any special requirements, please call 01235 771969.
There is ample parking, disabled access via the rear entrance and there are also disabled/babychange toilet facilities and high chairs. During the summer there will be plenty of outdoor seating in a walled garden.
We have two private function rooms for up to 16 people and welcome well-behaved dogs in the bar area (water and snacks provided).
The Greyhound is the perfect place to escape to, whether you are visiting friends, on business, just having a break from it all or getting active in the great outdoors. Unwind in one of our eight lovely bedrooms, all with very comfortable beds and luxury bathrooms, and get a truly restful night’s sleep. Start the next day with one of our delicious breakfasts, and just ask if you would like a picnic or packed lunch to take with you when you leave us.
